Snow Day!

First snow of the season, and at just the right time to get me in the spirit of Christmas.

We played in the snow, made drop doughnuts like my mom used to make from her grandmother's recipe, and just cozied up. 
Christmas music playing, snowflakes falling, wet snow clothes everywhere....a good day.

Snow Day!

This is the view out my window this morning.

Luckily, our out-of-state guests left two days ago and made it home safely. We had a wonderful, sunny wedding here.

And now Fall seems to have turned to Winter!

Halloween should be interesting....

All I know is this:

My husband gets to stay home from work, he is making biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast and cleaning the kitchen.  

We might watch movies later, huddled under a soft quilt.

And I get to wear pajamas all day, do very little school work with the children and maybe play Boggle later.
